Go Fly A Kite

I like kites! Grammy and G-Pa's house is perfect for flying kites.

Uncle Aaron showed me how to fly a kite all be myself. Well, at least hold the thingy once the kite is in the air.
Look at me! I didn't even let go.
See the kite. It's a fishy with a long tail!

A June Wedding

We went to a wedding a few weeks ago. It was a nice hot outdoor one. Here is our good looking family waiting for the ceremony to begin.
Aunt Kristin helped keep me entertained.
Here comes the beautiful bride...

After the ceremony, it was time for the party.
Josh and I had lots of fun. Apparently Cheerios are appropriate for any occassion.
Unfortunately, Josh and I both had meltdowns before the real fun began. It was past our bedtime, so we missed the cake and dancing. Maybe next time.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Eric Hoffsmith!

Alpaca Festival

We visited an Alpaca Festival in York, Pennsylvania with Uncle Aaron and Aunt Kristin. It was very interesting to learn about this little known subculture.
Alpacas are not the same as llamas. They got offended if you call them that.
Alpaca shearers come from New Zealand to give the Alpacas their once-a-year haircut. It's hard to see, but that Alpaca's front and back legs are tied up and he's stretched out so its belly is facing you. They make crazy sounds too.
They look quite funny when they're done. But don't make fun of them. It hurts their feelings.

Fort McHenry

Did you know that there is a real Fort McHenry, not just an ugly tunnel in Baltimore? We went there as part of our Father's Day festivities (They had free admission!). After we finished our picnic in the car, the torrential downpours subsided and we were able to go out and enjoy this National Park.

Some really significant things happened here back in the day, but my favorite part was...
the big puddles!

9 Months

Josh here. I'm nine months old now! Doc says I look great and I'm "solid" (his exact words), way bigger than the average guy my age.

Here's my stats.
Height: 30 1/4 in.
Weight: 23 lbs. 8 oz.
I'm not crawling yet, but it shouldn't be too much longer now. I can sometimes get on my hands and knees and rock back and forth. I can sit up on my own now, but I have trouble getting back down, especially when I'm supposed to be sleeping in my crib.

I've got two teeth now, but I don't like to use them. I still like my food runny and fed to me with a spoon (except for Cheerios of course).

I still suck my thumb too. But only in my crib.
