New Addition To The Team Ambuel Roster

It's time for my big arrival! Time to get the show on the road. Here is the "before" picture just before the real pain started to hit Mommy - hence the smile. Here is Mommy just after her first dose of "Happy Juice". You don't want to see the pre-happy juice pictures....not pretty. I was just hanging out waiting for the Mid-Wife to show up. It was a busy night, all the rooms were full so I was not the only one waiting to be born. In fact, just before my curtain call I got upstaged by a young 32-weeker who just couldn't wait. So Mommy relaxed and waited a little while longer.

Finally, it was my time. All about me. Good news is...I did not have my cord wrapped around my neck like Josie and Josh. Daddy got to cut my cord for real, not a fake shot later on the table like the others. I did not need much help. I was out in 2 pushes. BLAM! If you blinked, you missed it!

Everyone kept asking what my name is - but I don't know! I kept asking Daddy and he just kept looking in a book.
So finally, after almost 12 hours, Mommy and Daddy found a name for me. OK....I'm ready for my close up!

Now Presenting....Adelaide Joy Ambuel, but my team mates call me A.J.

I know...go ahead and say it...."You're so cute!"...I know...everyone keeps telling me that - but I never get tired of hearing it. ;0)

Here are my final stats for my opening game: 8 Lbs. 12 Oz. and 20.5 inches long.

Stay tuned for more cuteness soon to come!

-A.J.

House Update

Progress continues to be made on our house. Yeah! We love going over to the work site in the evenings after the workers have gone home and play around. Here we are running the maze. Its actually the trenches the excavators dug for the block guys to set the foundations for the garage, patio, carport and porch.
We also enjoy hiding any tools the workers have left behind. But Mommy usually makes us put them back where we found them.
There has been lots of activity for us to watch this week.
The block work is done and the studs for the first floor are up.
Here's a pic of the basement taking shape.

The walls of the first floor went up today (pics to come when it stops raining).

Sibling Fun

Josie and Josh are at a stage where they really enjoy playing together (most of the time). Josie is very physical, so they enjoy wrestling.

Josie really likes having Josh around to play with, so she always tries very hard to engage (coerce) Josh into whatever it is she wants to do.
And usually Josh is more than willing to follow along.

Making the Cut

It was time for our bi-annual haircut. I went first to show Josh how its done.
I decided that I wanted to have bangs.
Daddy did a good job.
This is Josh before.
Thank goodness Bob the Builder keeps his attention for more than five minutes.
Here's my new 'do.

Open Wide!

I had my second visit to the dentist. I had lots of fun.
No cavities and lots of rewards. The dental hygenist cleaned up all my brown teeth too!

Ground Breaking News!

Hi everyone! What does ground breaking mean? How do you break the ground? I know how to break a toy! Daddy says that this sign means we can start building our house. That makes me smile.

We soon had a BIG DIGGER show up on an even bigger truck. Josh and I both like diggers.

Later that day the digger started digging a humongous hole. Yes, I now know the word "humongous".
A few days later more trucks showed up with walls. First we watched from our apartment.
Then Grammy took us outside for a closer look.
I tried to get the attention of the workers, but they were really busy.
Josh was only interested in trying to break his chair.
Daddy is really excited about the basement walls. Here is the first piece going in.It only took the workers 3 hours to build our basement.

Mommy even came out for a few minutes to watch.
By lunch time they were done! Here is the finished basement.
This is what it looks like from inside.
