Gone Pickin'

We took another field trip to a fruit farm. We took a hayride out to the orchard to pick apples,

and then we got to pick a pumpkin and some gourds.

This is Josh's funny face. It totally cracks Mommy up!

AJ - 1 Month

Adelaide here. I'm one month old now. I went to the doc today. All the parts are running properly and I'm growing right on track.

Height: 22.5 inches

Weight: 10 lbs. 2.8 oz.

I'm a good baby, and Mommy has been enjoying having a newborn around the house again.

I still pretty much eat, sleep and poop, with some occasional crying. I'm only waking up once a night, which Mommy is thankful for.

Here's me in my first tub bath. I love bath time!

My big sister and brother love me lots. Josie likes to draw pictures of me.

And Josh is always asking to "Hold the baby?".

This is a big improvement from his initial comments about me ("Scary!" and "Its moving!").

Daddy and G-Pa took me to the last Orioles game of the season.
They lost, but I had a great time!

Fire!

Mommy has been taking us to a playgroup at our church. Our first field trip with them was to the firehouse. We had an awesome time!
We got to see a firefighter up close so hopefully we won't be too scared of him if we ever need his/her help.

Then we got to hang out in the firetruck.

And spray water from the hoses.

We got cool hats to wear too!

House Update

A lot of things happened on the house today and later this week. Today we had framers, concrete guys, and excavators. The framers finished the chimney chase, finish the front porch, installed a bunch of supports so that the concrete could be poured and worked on the master bedroom. The concrete guys poured the garage, the carport and the back porch. Tomorrow they will poor the front porch and the back patio. The excavators worked on the sand mound for the septic system. Here are some pics from the end of the day.

Yes, you see correctly. I am missing one of my front teeth.

But it didn't fall out on its own, and it wasn't Josh who knocked it out.

I slipped and fell and hit the wooden step stool in the bathroom

and my whole tooth popped out and skidded across the floor.

I almost lost the other one too. It was loose for about 3 days.

So now I have to wait for my big kid teeth to come in,

unfortunately that could take a very long time.

Week 1

Hi gang. I'm one week old (almost two at the time of this posting). My one week doctors appt. went well. No shots! I grew 1 3/4 inches and I'm almost at birth weight.

I've spent most of my first week sleeping or being attached to Mommy.

LOTS of other people have been holding me this week too!

First Bath

Daddy gave me my first bath. Well actually it was just a sponge bath since I still have my umbilical cord stump.
Ahhhh, that feels nice.

Washing my hair is my favorite part.

All clean.

Now, back to sleep.
