During the week of the 4th of July we took a looooong trip to Illinois by car. I was not sure about all of this... The car was packed tight!!!Our first stop was in Western Maryland. We took a break for some play time. We stopped in West Virginia for dinner and a diaper change.

I think I am ready to drive...We went through the bedtime routine in Ohio.
When I woke up we were on the Indiana/Illinois border. Daddy took us to Denny's for breakfast.
Daddy saw this sign and said it was funny. I'm not sure why. Daddy says it has something to do with the cook.

Later that day, after a nap in the morning, we arrived at cousin Bet's house in Illinois. This is Daddy's cousin and Grandpa's niece. We spent the afternoon there for lunch and fun. We went back later, after checking into the hotel, for fireworks! Mommy was enjoying the rest and the deserts!

Mom and Dad got to go on a really nice date. They went to St. Louis, Mo., to see the arch and have a really nice dinner.
They ate dinner at the top of this hotel. The restaurant revolves around the top so that they could see the whole town and two states.
And Daddy timed it just right, so that they got to see the sunset.
On Saturday, 07/07/07, we went to the Barber Family Reunion. This is Grandma Ambuel's family. This was our picture time.

My Aunt Debbie and cousin Breanna were there too!
Here we are playing outside at the reunion.
Then we had to go all the way back home, the next day, after church. I don't remember where in Indiana we stopped for bedtime routine...
This was the sunset just before I went to sleep. Then we were home when I woke up.

We went to the pool for the first time. It was hot and and little strange. Kinda like a really big bathtub...but no soap.

We had a play date with my friend Kekoa and his Mom.

Soooo....this is my 8 month old picture (June 14, 2007) The mat is barely big enough to hold me.

Mommy wanted to go camping for her birthday. So Daddy took us to Elk Neck State Park in north east Maryland to camp for a couple of days. It was really HOT the first day. Daddy made Mommy a special B-Day dinner. Portabella mushrooms with cheese, tomato and some kind of leafy stuff.


It was chilly outside when we had breakfast.

I practiced making funny faces like Daddy.

I liked napping in front of the fire.


We went for a hike out to the point to see the lighthouse and the beginning of the Chesapeake Bay.

These are Mom and Dad's friends that camped with us. They have a really long last name and I don't know how to say it yet. So I call them Mr. and Mrs. L.
