The Great Waffle Debate (Not Really)

Homemade waffles are a rare and special treat. Grammy and G-Pa made us some over Christmas weekend. And much like the Raisin Bran Muffin protocol, there is a method on how you should eat these waffles, which Daddy strongly disagrees with. He's a traditional butter and syrup kinda guy.

Here is the correct waffle-eating protocol. After you cook the waffles in the waffle iron, you divide it in half so you have two sets of two waffles connected together by a "hinge". (Sorry I didn't take a picture of this.) Then you put butter on top of both sides, add a layer of powdered sugar, and close it up like a sandwich. Then you pick it up and eat it. It's essentially a sugar sandwich. Who wouldn't like that?!?
I came on board right away (as seen above). Josh wasn't quite so sure at first.
But now he's our most recent convert. Sorry Daddy, you're outnumbered again.

I vote for butter and syrup on my waffles. Sometime I even use jelly instead of syrup.

When I have waffles at Bob Evens, I have frest strawberries and whipped cream.

Love to all, Grandma Ambuel
